Note: No reception will be arranged at other locations and dates.

Ⅱ Registration Procedure
1 Before Arrival:
(1) Appliy for visa and book international flight
(2) Log in to the Hainan University International Student Service Platform at least one week earlier to upload your flight and travel information: https://hainanu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx
2On Campus Check-In (Zhonghe College, Haidian Campus):
(1) Present Admission Letter and Passport to the dormitory supervisor for dormitory assignment, and register for Accommodation Certificate, dorm key, electricity card, and student ID card
(2) Confirm registration with college director
(3) Book a physical examination appointment from mobile phone
(4) Apply for off-campus housing (if needed)
(5) Attend safety orientation, etc..
3 Qualification Review (Office 103, School of International Education):
(1) Bring with Admission Letter, Passport, Graduation Certificate, Degree Certificate, HSK Certificate, and Accommodation Certificate
(2) Complete Chinese language oral test
(3) Pay tuition, accommodation and insurance fees, etc..
4 Academic Registration:
(1) After passing the qualification review, students should make registration in the Teaching Affairs Office of relevant academic school
(2) Join class WeChat group and be aware of class schedule
5 Physical Examination:
(1) Attend the examination according to scheduled appointment
(2) Enrollment is finalized upon passing the physical examination.

Accommodation
On-Campus Accommodation
1 Check-in
International students should go to the Zhonghe College, present passport and Admission Letter to apply for dormitory.
Dormitory Address: Buildings 15 and 16, Zhonghe College, Haidian Campus.
2 Accomodation Registration
International students must register their accommodation with the local police station within 24 hours of entry into China.
Students living on-campus: When checking in, collect the On-Campus Accommodation Form for International Students from Zhonghe College. Register with the Renmin Road Police Station within 24 hours of entry with this Form.

Off-Campus Accomdation
(1) Students may choose off-campus accommodation only after obtaining approval from Zhonghe College.
(2) Students choosing off-campus accommodation must rent independently. The university does not bear responsibility for any rental disputes or related safety issues arising from off-campus housing.
(3) International students must register their accommodation with the local police station in charge of their residence area within 24 hours of entry into China.
Bring a copy of the landlord's ID card, the rental contract, and student passport to the local police station (ask the landlord for the police station address) to register. Submit a copy of the accommodation registration receipt to counselor in Zhonghe College.
(4) Students must update their accommodation information at the police station in charge of the new residence within 24 hours of moving in. Submit a copy of the updated accommodation registration receipt to counselor in Zhonghe College.

2 Report Collection
The physical report can generally be collected in 3 workdays after the examination date.
If students need the report on the same day, they can request expedited processing from the staff by paying an additional fee.

1 Tuition
Tuition fees are charged according to the standard applicable in the student’s year of enrollment. For specific details, please refer to the website:

2 Deadline
Please pay a specified proportion of tuition fees before arriving on campus as notified and pay the remaining and other required fees in one installment in 15 days after arriving on campus.

The insurance fee for international students is:

Residence Permit
1 Step One
International students holding an X1 visa must submit the following documents to the International Student Office (Room 103, School of International Education ) within 4 weeks of entry to apply for the Residence Permit:
(1) Three copies each of passport and visa pages (including entry stamp);
(2) Original and one photocopy of Hainan University Admission Letter;
(3) Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201/JW202/DQ Form);
(4) One copy of Accommodation Certificate issued by the local police station;
(5) Original Foreigner Physical Examination Report.
2 Step Two
Students must apply for a student residence permit in person at the Visa Service Center of the Haikou Exit-Entry Administration Office. Required documents:
(1) Residence Permit Application Letter (issued by the College);
(2) One copy each of passport and visa pages (including entry stamp);
(3) Original Admission Letter;
(4) Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201/JW202/DQ Form);
(5) Original Foreigner Physical Examination Report;
(6) Accommodation Certificate issued by the local police station.

4 Collection & Fees
Processing Time: 15 working days (excluding the day of application)
Collection: Please collect passport in person with the application receipt. Check the name and validity period carefully upon receipt.
Fees:X2 visa: CNY160
Residence Permit less than 12 months; CNY400;12 months–3 years: CNY800;3-5 years: CNY1000.
For any changes, please refer to the information officially published by the Visa Service Center of the Exit-Entry Administration Office, Haikou Public Security Bureau.
Note: After obtaining the residence permit, submit one photocopy to the Office 103, the School of International Education.
Scholarship Bank Card
1 Application
Please open a Chinese bank savings account to receive scholarship stipends.
Apply in person with your passport and Admission Letter.
Note: Keep the account opening receipt. The account name must exactly match the passport name (spelling).
2 Reminder
All scholarship recipients must apply for a savings card at the designated bank. Make sure that the account name matches the passport name exactly. No disbursement will be made if discrepancies exist.
Submit the bank account opening slip to the Office 103, School of International Education.
3 Stipend Disbursement
Monthly living stipends will be transferred to the submitted bank account by the end of each month, provided students check in during the first week of that month.
